House Rules
We’d really appreciate you observing our small asks:
● No smoking or vaping*
● No events or parties*
● No unregistered guests
● No open flames/candles
● Report any damage immediately via info@horizonpropertyinvestors.co.uk
● Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the loo, use the bin provided in the bathroom
● We all like to relax after a hard day at work, so please respect our neighbours with quiet time 10pm – 7am
● Please be respectful of our property and leave it as you found it
* A £250 fine will be taken from the card used to make the booking should these rules be broken
Checkout
Any special requests please let us know and we’ll always try to accommodate
● Check out is 10am – please leave fob in key lock box
● Lock all doors and close all windows
● Empty fridge
● Empty bins and take to the bin store on the ground floor
Fire Safety - To prevent potential fire spreading, please close all doors before you go to sleep
On hearing the Fire Alarm
1. Leave the apartment by the entry door
2. Follow the exit signs to the nearest exit point, there are stair cases at both ends of the building and an emergency exit on the first floor next to the lifts
3. DO NOT use the lifts under any circumstances
4. Close all doors behind you where possible
5. Call 999 and request the Fire Brigade to attend: King William House, Market Place, Hull, HU1 1BE
The Good Stuff
● Complimentary tea/coffee/sugar/milk/dishwasher and clothes wash products upon arrival
● Full fortnightly clean for longer stay guests, including bed linen and towels
● FREE Unlimited Ultrafast WiFi
● Parking is normally £9.50 but when you stay with horizon its FREE.
Handy bits of info
● First Aid kit and fire blanket & extinguisher located under the kitchen sink along with an iron and clothes/dish wash complimentary products. Hoover, ironing board and clothes airer located in the hallway cupboard which is also where the washer/drier is. Bedrooms are equipped with a hairdryer
● In the unlikely event that the electricity stops working, please check the fuse box located in the hallway cupboard, all switches should be up, if there are any down, flick them back up and the electricity supply should reinstate itself
● In case of flooding, the stop cock for the water mains can be located in the hallway cupboard
● If you need a taxi, Hull doesn’t have UBER, so we recommend using DRIVE Taxis 01482 858585 or book online at www.taxihull.co.uk
● The washer/drier is straight forward to use, as are the other appliances in the kitchen (power switches are all labelled) and HIVE central heating system, please try to troubleshoot queries online, however if you need our support, we’re on hand
Important bits of info
If the YALE lock loses power, a lockbox is located in the main foyer, left of the letterboxes. Use code 9734 to access it. Inside, you'll find a D-Cell battery.
To restore power, press the D-Cell battery onto the two pins under the digital lock. Once powered, use your code to unlock the door.
Once you're inside, you'll find replacement batteries for the YALE in the cupboard under the sink. Simply remove the back cover of the YALE lock, dispose of the old batteries, and replace them with the new ones. Don't forget to return the D-Cell battery to its original place in the postbox.
Heating & Hot Water
The heating is set to constantly heat up to a cosy 17degrees C, if you wish to turn this up or down you can do so using the HIVE thermostat which is located on the right as you walk into the open plan living area. The hot water is timed and will heat up throughout the day. The Apartment is fully electric, so the tank in the hallway cupboard is where all hot water comes from, please be aware of this if running a bath/shower etc.
Rubbish Collection
Please empty your bins before checkout.
The bin store can be found at the back of the main reception area in the entrance foyer, go through the bike store and follow the doors until you reach the bin store.
